Thomas D. Heffernan, age 40, the founder of Business Shapers, High Risk Pay, an entrepreneurial CFO, controller, and outsourced bookkeeping firm. He is an accomplished serial entrepreneur having founded, built, developed, and grown numerous multi-million dollar businesses across multiple industries since 1993.
During recent years, Mr. Heffernan has built a team focused on providing young companies and their entrepreneurs with the exact amount of CFO and Controller services that they need as they grow. He has supported a diversity of companies including healthcare firms, mortgage companies, law firms, property management companies, software companies, angel and hedge funds, original equipment manufacturer representative companies, and many others.
His CFO practice focuses on start up and turn around companies, however, he has also assisted in merger and acquisition work, having helped acquire and spin off companies. Mr. Heffernan also continues to serve on the board of two multi-million dollar businesses.
In addition to his wide breadth of corporate experience, Mr. Heffernan honourably served his country in the early 1990’s as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He is also a founding member of a Christian humanitarian organization, The Last Well Movement, which seeks to solve the clean water problems of the entire nation of Liberia.
