Lindsey Mask

Lindsey Mask is a Principal at Global Vision Communications (GVC), a strategic public relations firm for the business leader, specializing in integrated communications for associations & corporations. Mask has a keen focus on public & media relations, new media strategy, stakeholder outreach, business development, and manages the women’s initiative practice.

Prior to joining Global Vision Communications, Mask served as Communications Director and Spokesperson for U.S. Congressman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon of California. She began her tenure with McKeon when he was Chairman of the House Education & Workforce Committee, where she served as Press Secretary and the Director of Outreach & Coalitions.

Mask is also the Founder and CEO of Ladies America, a national young women’s professional networking group headquartered in Washington, D.C. offering women an opportunity to connect and advance personally and professionally. The original organization, Ladies DC, was founded in 2006 and has grown to a network of over 1,500 top-tier professional women in and around the nation’s capital and has expanded to New York City, North Carolina, and Texas. In 2011, Ladies DC partnered with the United Nations Foundation (UNF) to host its inaugural “Women Leading the Future” women’s conference, drawing in hundreds of attendees and speakers from across the country and in support of the UNF’s Girl Up initiative.

In 2008, Mask took a hiatus from Capitol Hill to serve as the network and cable liaison for the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Texas native previously worked as Press Secretary for Congressman Trent Franks of Arizona and at the state level where she worked for the Texas House, Senate, and as the speechwriter for the Texas Commissioner of Education. Preceding her days as a political flack and business owner, Mask was a television news anchor and reporter for an ABC affiliate in Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (double major) in Mass Communication and Speech Communication from Texas State University – San Marcos.
She remains involved in multiple charities and boards, with a primary focus on the advancement of women. She sits on the board for the Women Under Forty Political Action Committee (WUFPAC), aimed at helping women under forty secure seats in federal office and lectures regularly on media and communications for the Leadership Institute, Women in Public Policy’s WeLEAD program at American University, Smart Girls Politics, and the Women Congressional Staff Association. In 2010, Mask teamed up with a group of entrepreneurs to co-host and sponsor the first ever DC Entrepreneurship Week.

Mask has been featured in National Journal, Power Women Magazine, WUSA9, NBC Nightside, The Scene Bisnow, Revamp.com, The Broad Perspective (radio), Enchanting Women, Networking News, HerExchange, and iCosmeticNetwork.com.
